John Rixey Moore was raised in Venezuela, graduated with Honors in Philosophy at University of Virginia, and received an MBA from Wharton Grad, University of Pennsylvania.  Four years in the military–Green Beret sergeant, Airborne, Ranger. Decorations include Distinguished Service Cross, two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars, three Purple Hearts, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry (1st Order), four service and campaign ribbons, Jungle Expert and five Presidential Unit citations. He crewed in the America’s Cup and competed for twelve years as brakeman on the United States bobsled team, including two Olympics and twelve world championships. Thirteen years contract player on various daytime and primetime soap operas, over 460 network commercials. Author of Pulitzer and Colbe Award-nominated memoirs HOSTAGE OF PARADOX and COMPANY OF STONE. Script doctor. Licensed pilot. Experience feeds artistic endeavor more richly than any classroom.
