Ellen Dubin “Soul of an Actor”

ScriptWrights actress Ellen Dubin provided just three notes to inspire a composition by William Goldstein.

His project, “Soul of an Actor” is a compilation of  musical portraits composed in the same manner. Dubin was one of 16 subjects, including Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Fionnula Flanagan and, posthumously, Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The album is available on itunes and Amazon. For more information about the process, read the full article from the Jewish Journal.

Another interview with Ellen is featured on Stewart Andrew’s sci-fi blog, The Fifth Dimension. In it she talks about some of her sci-fi television work, including cult favorite Lexx and upcoming series Nobility and Starfall, among her many other film and voiceover projects.
