Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Bill worked throughout Asia as a teacher, copywriter and translator.  He went on to became a lawyer, and after practicing law for several years, discovered he found more joy in writing stories than practicing law.  Shortly after switching careers (he also worked as a PI for a few years), he directed his first short film, “Jimmy Ritz”, which won Best Short at the Ohio Independent Film Festival, and screened at more than 20 film festivals throughout the country.  His screenplays have won or been a finalist in more than 20 screenplay contests and one of his TV pilots was in development with Stephan Cannell. His most recent TV pilots are currently under option and he’s also recently finished his first stage play.
